…I restarted reading Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s, “The Brothers Karamazov”! A few years, ago, I had downloaded, from Librivox, this book read by volunteers. I loved the idea and a few of those readers were marvelous amateurs. Yet, before I had made it through the first book, I somewhat unconsciously forgot to finish it.
Now, here I am with a new audio version, I’d downloaded from Audible. In this case, Constantine Gregory has me eagerly wanting to wade my way through those 37 hours of listening to an intricate story.
So far, I still have just under 27 hours of listening left to accomplish. Who knows, maybe I’ll go back and watch Yol Brynner and William Shatner in that 1958 movie. But then, again, I supposed I could also watch… but only if there are subtitles.
